I ordered the triple play package – up from the internet and phone. I put the order in on January 2013 for a February 2013 installation. After 3 appointments it was done. But I have had to call back a few times afterwards because things weren’t working – the tv and it still isn’t working – HD box only gets HD basic channels. There were changes made that I did not request – speeding up my internet – only to find out that the package that I believe I signed up for only seems to exists in my mind. How do you find out what was the pass promotions, so that I can either make my case or understand what they are saying to me.
I have sold FiOS for the past 2.5 years to over 600 people, and I have found that it is usually the unknown questions and concerns that hold people back from switching to this amazing service, so let me give you some answers!

Cable is in trouble as there are so many other options now available in the market. If you have ever tried to use Netflix or Hulu, then you know you only need access to the internet which will cut the bill down substantially. Some people are cutting the phone cord for mobile and find that they don’t need the land line. In talking to a Verizon agent they have lots of people who are looking for internet only and the cable market is not growing as much so that is the reason there is so much competition between carriers chasing the same people. Changing chairs on a sinking ship. As for the TV with the antenna I can pick up over 100 channels over the air. So TV=Antenna, Phone=Mobile, Premium Channels=Netflix, Amazon, etc. and Internet is the only need. Cuts bill from $120 to $35.
I had an agent to restart my service and gave me new discounts along with the ones I already had; also if you contact the area where they close accounts they may work with you a little more.
I upgraded to triple play (added Internet service) and from the commercial I thought I would get the $250 gift card. My email was for $100 gift card, when I called to find out why I didn’t get the $250 offer the lady from customer service said the advertisement doesn’t tell you that not everyone will get the $250 gift card with this promo, but she couldn’t tell me why. I’m content with the $100 gift card, but curious as to how the decision is made on the amount you get?
We have triple play, but our monthly bill is not even close to the advertised promotional price. I would think repeat customers would be more valuable and of less cost to Verizon than setting up a new account. How about some good deals for regular customers?
In Dec 2011 I switched from Verizon to Comcast, as my rate had jumped about $50/mo after my two year deal ran out. Within two weeks I was offered a better deal than the best new customer rate. Phone, Extreme HD TV, 25/25 Internet 2HD STB and MRDVR for $99/mo and about $6 in fees. I took the offer, and since Comcast offered a 30 unconditional money back guarantee, my 3 weeks with them cost $0.
So after a year it went up to about $125, then $135. After two years it went up to $175 and it was going up again to $185 this month. As I canceled they offered me $15 of a month to stay. We’ll see what offer I qualify for in a couple of weeks.
They will only give these deals to NEW customers. I am an existing customer with no contract and after spending time speaking with multiple reps in online chat and on the phone they would not give me anything close to these deals. For PrimeHD 50/25 and phone the best they could offer me was $114/month, without the gift card. These prices do not include the hardware either so in my case $114 turns into $167 once all taxes, fees, surcharges and hardware costs are added.
I even tried to cancel my service and then resume but they have a 60 day waiting period so if you are an existing customer and you cannot live without TV/phone/internet for 2 months you can NOT get these offers.
I would like for someone to get with me regarding Internet and TV with Fios. I am looking for a two year contract with the promotion you have at this time. I look forward to talking with someone ASAP.
Sorry to hear about your experience. I know this doesn’t help your situation but the offer works (at least for a good amount of people) since I’ve had readers email me about the discounts they were able to get with the listed deals so at least we know it’s not a scam.
Have your tried clearing your cookies and cache and just using the links above? Since you mentioned “business office”, perhaps you were routed to the department that deals with business customers and thus they don’t have the same offer? Try to locate the residential section of Verizon.com, and get in touch with customer service. Maybe you can just order directly through them. And if they can’t help you, try asking for a supervisor since that person might have more authority to give you what’s clearly marked on their official website as the current offer.
I’ve been going to the Verizon website and clicking on the triple play 79.99 plus prepaid Visa card deal for over two weeks now on a few different pc’s. It tells me to put in my address to check availability, and then it ALWAYS tells me they cannot process my order and to contact the business office. Not only have I entered a variety of addresses just to check, I have also used an address to which Verizon actually sent a card with the offer. When I call the business office, they always say they have never heard of anyone having such a problem and then try to give me a lesser offer. It just seems like another Verizon scam.
My Verizon bill has gone from $118 to $187 per month with no change in services, since I came off of my promotion last year. How long do I have to be off of Verizon to become eligible for the “new customer” discount again?
Good news Betty, the current $79.99 fios triple play bundle as of 12/5/2012 includes the wireless router. The activation fee will also be credited back to you on the bill with the current promotion.

Just out of a 2 year contract for Triple Play @89.99/month. Now Verizon want to charge me $109.99/month and won’t give me the $79.99/month deal. What can I do to even retain my $89.99/MONTH DEAL?
For what it’s worth, I’ve been updating these promo codes for a few years now and the $5 off promotion code along with the cash back is one of the better deals out there. You never know whether you will get the best deal from this point forward since they can always come out with a temporary killer deal but I’ve seen a general price increase through the years so it’s better to sign up if you actually want the TV, Internet or phone bundle services.
How often do they come out with new promos? Can I expect a new and possibly better deal in January?
I am shocked to see that my bill has gone up again. I need a more affordable plan. I’m on Social Security, and have a husband in a nursing home that I have to pay for every month. Cablevision sent me an offer for $79.00 a month, a free Kindle, DVR and HD set top box with triple play service. What can you offer a senior citizen? I have been a faithful customer, before you offered TV service.
How can we limit service to a monthly bill under $100.00 dollars? My wife is unemployed and I am only working part time. Please consider our request going through hard times for us seniors.

I’ve been a “loyal customer” for more years than I care to mention. Currently have the 3/bundle and tried to lower my total bill. No more “promos” for me. The $20 credit a month just expired and they offered nothing but a reduction of service. I opted to do without a couple of channels and now regret not having them. Does anyone know how long I have to wait till I can ask for another promo? It was mentioned that if I wait a couple of months without a promo, they will again offer some type of credit. Anyone know?

Most of the time, unfortunately, the best Verizon will do to keep you as an existing customer is to give you a $20/mo credit on your bill for a year. No Free DVR for life, and they won’t match current deals for new customers. They can always cut down your services to save you money though. LoL

Wow, Verizon certainly has people by the short hairs. Once you get in at their nice bundle price, they then go and double your cost. And, the sad thing is that they don’t remind or alert you when your contract expires, and they just automatically roll you over to their ridiculously high-priced contract. And let’s be honest, who remembers when their TV contract starts and ends? Verizon? Never again. Hubby is on the phone with Comcast as I type this.
