While I was in Japan, I noticed that every car is just… smaller! This week’s video gives you a look at some of the cars that you see there. If you want to save gas, maybe you should ship one of those small cars from Japan here. I’m sure the mileage per gallon (MPG) is amazingly high!

Woah… Small
I noticed that also when I was working in England and European country.

We have lots of little cars here in Australia too. I think it’s only the US that is obsessed with huge cars.
debtdieter: I think you are right. For some reason, the cars are just bigger in the states
I don’t think that americans like the concept of driving a small car. That’s why US is consuming 25% of the worlds oil.Especially if I was driving a smaller car, I would not want to be in the way of a large SUV..
The trap most people fall into is that they buy a new “smaller car” thinking that they will save money in gas. Ironically they lose THOUSANDS in depreciation while saving only HUNDREDS in gas. I love conservation, so long as it make financial sense.
A lot of people have been wanting to import those vehicles, but sadly, vehicles in those countries are not allowed in some states. Here in US, there is a requirement of the minimum horse power and torque, otherwise you would get run over.

Would like to get one but I’am afraid it’s too small for my whole family
I just purchased a Honda Fit and even though it’s small (really small front) it fits my whole family, my wife and 2 kids…….now when we have the third that might be a problem – but i WON’T buy a hummer – that’s just idiotic unless you’re going to war, right!
