Plan for the worst, and pray for the best.

If you&#039;ve got the &#039;worst case scenario&#039; planned for, then you&#039;ve done all you can.         Even at my age (now 55) I am not counting on SS being there cuz nothing is certain.... and at best SS is ONLY supposed to be a Supplemental income, not a total income, which people tend to forget about.   So I plan a basic budget for retirement that will still provide for my $1000/month that I know I can live easily and well on, and then if the SS is there, that will be the gravy on the biscuits :)</description>
