		<description>Good advice. There are some tax savings that can be found after 1/1: IRA contributions, for example. Another note is to talk with your investment advisors before you make a move: selling or donating stock should be part of your overall investment goals, not just a tax strategy. The same goes for the tax plays: talk with a CPA (or trained tax preparer) to be sure your action fits with your overall tax situation.</description>
