Introducing You to PFN

If this is your first time visiting, check out the story behind this blog. Otherwise, please join the others by subscribing to my RSS feed or get updates via email so you don't miss any personal finance articles!

MoneyNing.com has found a home today because it will be part of the brand new Personal Finance Network (PFN)!  The aim of the network is not to compete with other ones out there but rather to group together bloggers of different backgrounds who share the same interests and vision.  The members (apart from myself) are:

Blunt Money:
A re-married mother who managed to pay off her credit card debt of $15,000! Like the rest of us, she continues to learn about saving and investing to improve her financial situation. With her only debt being her mortgage, there’s definitely something to learn from so head on over there!

Canadian Capitalist:
One of two Canadian bloggers of the network, Canadian Capitalist is another blogger that is almost debt free. The way he’s managed to do so is to save a significant portion of his income, contribute to his retirement accounts, and prepay his mortgage whenever he has extra cash!

Clever Dude:
Clever Dude is the first person to admit that he’s not an expert in all money matters, but by writing and discussing about his personal life, he’s learned a great deal in personal finance. Follow him through his life as a married man and you might learn a thing or two about managing your money too!

Four Pillars (Mr. Cheap & Mike):
Another Canadian as well as a partner blog, Four Pillars is about learning and discussing about everything related to personal finance. With both authors not getting any younger, the two of them have decided to take their finance in their own hands by studying and learning about investing and growing their wealth!

Squawkfox:
I couldn’t say it any better so I quote “(personal finance) is about living simply, spending wisely, and investing intelligently impacts your health, wealth, and self”! Squawkfox shows us simple yet effective ways of saving money to make frugality a reality.

With such a diverse group, there will be lots to learn from each other in the future so check back here and on the other blogs to learn more about personal finance!

If you're looking for a cheap credit card, you may be simply looking for keeping up with the payments. If you're in debt, borrow carefully and get debt help to start moving towards a debt free future.

Congrats on the new blog network….Is this the next thing in blogging? If so, can you provide any advice on how to find other bloggers that might be interested in setting a network up…

Hmm.. I’d say you need to make sure people know you already for them to consider starting a network with you.

Also, make sure there’s something that every member can contribute to everyone else in the network in order for it to be successful.

There’s no magic formula so you just gotta go do it!
