Day’s Gain: $-121.40
Not much activity in terms of me trading or looking at my portfolio because I’m on vacation in Canada with my girlfriend. In fact, I’m writing this in Canada! I will be adding another rule to my Trading Rules about taking time off so remember to see that! (link: http://moneyning.com/investing/davids-rules-of-trading/)
The day started out pretty good and quickly lost steam and eventually most of the stocks posted small losts with the exception of Radiant. It got up to $10.10 and I sold half my position as I said I would (I actually only had a $15 profit on the $5000 I put in but any profit is good and I didn’t want to risk the captial on this trade as the market was down for the day.)
I didn’t buy Ameritrade as I said I would if it gets pass $17 and now it’s at $17.56 after a lost of $17.65 from the previous day. That means that I could have sat at around a 3% up. But that’s okay, as at least I know that my hunch that it was going higher was correct.
The month is coming to an end, and this month could have really been the biggest month of gains I should’ve had if I weren’t greedy. However, because of the mentioned reason, this will probably become a month where there was a lost in my total capital for my portfolio, which broke the streak that continued for 3 months (for those that do not know, this portfolio started back in March so a 3 month streak of any kind is quite big).
