My Wedding Date is Set!!

by MoneyNing · 24 comments

My wedding is fast approaching and things will have to start are starting to fall into place! My fiancee and I will do food tasting at the banquet hall tonight to finalize the food menu. This means that the per table expense will be worked out and I should have an update for everyone. Remember all the wedding budget posts I had for a budget of $10,000? The projected expense is WAY over that number so stay tuned in the coming days as I show you the newest projection of what it will cost us!

We also made a custom invitation card in Taiwan so I want to share these with you!

Let me know what you think! I really want to invite everyone (even the blogging community) but it will be extremely hard to keep expenses under control with so many people in the California area! If a very wealthy person reads this and want to sponsor a side party for the blogging community, do not hesitate to contact me!!

WISHING YOU ALL THE BEST. you are way out of my league for that kind of wedding. success. i may be to grounded or Dutch to appreciate such an event. I am far to “frugal” in reality to splurge like that. Do a ten year anniversary with the money which it has made in the mean time!!! ::-) lots of success to you two, lovely, hope you have as many years as my wife, Maartje, and I, 32 years now.

That is a very nice wedding card, she looks like she will keep you inline, David.

Over the budget already? I think they said it in Sopranos, cut out the open bar. It will be interesting to read about the party.

Good luck on the plans. It’ll all be over and done before you know it. My wife and I just had our 11 year anniversary a few days ago. Married life is fun. Keep having dates after you’re married and you’ll hold on to the fun for longer.

David,

Did you get the photos in Temple City? They are quite beautiful! My good friend Xiaoyue got his there and said there are many talented, reasonably priced photographers there.

After the wedding you need to start saving for the 10 year anniversary! My wife wants to go to Italy for two weeks in the summertime! It will cost about $10k. But that is okay, since the wedding was done by her parents when we were poor students.

Best of luck to you in your new life together, you are at the beginning of life’s one true adventure. God bless.

Those are great invitations! Really unique and beautiful.

Be careful with your wedding budget–it can be really easy to spend more than you need to.

As long as you aren’t going in debt for it, go for it
