Money Items for This Weekend

Weekend is finally here, but this one will be unique in that there are quite a few big expenses that are planned.

Meals

We have a lunch appointment with some friends on Saturday.? This means that we will be spending some money and time with them which should be quite relaxing.? Although we will probably spend more money on this lunch than our average meals, I believe these “once in a while” outings are necessary to keep our motivation fresh, as well as giving us a chance to have a balance lifestyle.? I’m anticipating this to be $50 USD for the two of us.

Depending on other activities (see below), we might not have time to go home and cook at night, which will cost another $20 – $30 USD.

Car Expenses

After lunch, I am also getting my rim fixed and changing all four of my tires on Saturday.? When I hit a pot hole on the road (there are?many in Southern California) sometime last year, one of my rims unfortunately bent a little bit and also created a bubble in my tire.? Everyone who looked at it told me that I needed to change it right away since it looked dangerous.? However, being?my?frugal self (maybe to the point of being cheap), I decided to take my chances.? Luck has it, I’m still alive, but day by day it worries me more.? So last week when my friend told me his customer left him four tires that I can take (this is an acquaintance that owns a body shop), I jumped on the offer by paying only for the labor of changing tires.? Of course, this also means that I need to get the rim fixed, so last week I left him the rim and drove home with my spare.? So tomorrow, I will pay for fixing my rim and the labor of changing four tires.? This will roughly cost $200 USD.

Wedding Planning Appointment

We have another appointment on Sunday with the sales person for the boat where we are planning to have our wedding. ?We are scheduled to actually go onto the boat to see it from the inside. ?We will also be going over more details of what is available and possible based on our budget of $10,000 USD. ?Assuming that there are no ??eal breaking??details that come up, we will be putting down a deposit to reserve our spot.? I really hope that my fianc?e will be happy!? The reservation deposit will cost $2000 USD.

Summary

I am also thinking that there will be some unforeseen expenses but these are the ??lanned??ones (like the extra meal on Saturday night).

This is going to be one expensive weekend. ?In a weird way, this makes my weekday seem better.
