Day’s Gain: $39.80
Again, not much activity in terms of the porfolio side. I did buy more Radiant when it was at $9.69 and now it is at $9.80. Now I have 1000 shares that are bought on avg at $9.865 so I’m still down on this stock. This stock really trades around this range and I am betting that it will ramp up before the earnings announcement. I will also sell some once it hits $10 again.
Microsoft launched Vista and Office together today and people are selling into the news. This usually happens and I plan to take some off the table also tomorrow. I will keep you posted on that.
AMD has started going down, and it really picked up steam and went back up at 11 or so. I wanted to buy more this morning but I figure that I already have a pretty big stake in this stock and I should not go into this too much to limit my risk. It ended up going 2% from when I wanted to buy it but I’m not too unhappy as I think it was a good decision.
I have bought Bank of America and it has been going down and down. This is definitely a core holding in my portfolio and I plan to long this stock so I’m not afraid of this. I will also receive about 1% dividend on this on 12/22 and should get 4% just on dividend. All the bank stocks should also go up once the Fed decides to lower interest rates.
This is the last day of the month, and I would say that I learned a lot this month because of 2 days of very bad trading. It was a good learning experience even though it was costly, effectively wiping out all the gains I had this month (20% gain) but this is good because my porfolio will grow through time and it is good while I learned it now rather than later.
