Motivation Monday - It’s Okay to Not Run at Full Speed Everyday

It is really tough to be sitting here and thinking about motivation right after my grandfather passed away.  My mind is filled with memories and joy of being around him at the moment which doesn’t leave much room for anything else.  At times like these, it seems like being motivated to advance my career and increase my wealth are the last two things I should be worrying about.

One question I’ve asked myself is “how can I stay motivated”?

After I sat in my patio for a while and letting the breeze relax my brain a little, I realize that it is not necessarily bad to take a short break from running full speed everyday.  We are human after all, and
we can’t possibly always be thinking about our careers or our money at all times.  Once in a while, we need to slow down and think.  It gives us a chance to recharge our batteries, and also a chance for us to ponder about the direction that we’ve been heading and will head to.  It allows us to make corrections when we otherwise might not be able to when we were spending maximum energy running.

The catch though is never to let ourselves rest for too long.  We are lazy creatures, and if we let our passion and fire go out for too long, we might never be able to start it up again.

I will enjoy my rest for a little bit.  When I’m back, I will be ready and able to run again.

I think we can also apply “not running full speed” to everyday communing too since the gas price is getiing closer to $4.00 per gallon now! Just my 2-cents for Monday!

Thanks for this thought. Sometimes we really do just need to relax and enjoy the moment. I think I’ll go do that now…

Emily: Gas is crazy high! I hope it will come back down soon!

Miranda: Relaxing is always good. Take a break and be ready for the next battle!
