Motivation Monday – Do Something You Enjoy and Build Your Confidence

by MoneyNing · 6 comments

Sometimes, the reason why we don’t like to do something is because we aren’t good at it.  On the other hand, when someone is doing something they really enjoy, it is often because they are pretty good at it.  So, in order to shake off the Monday blues, it might be enough to just become good at our jobs.

Of course no one is good at every job, so the key is to find a job that you are good at.  If you don’t know what you excel at yet, start by looking at something at everything you enjoy.  Even if you aren’t very good at it in the beginning, you will at least stick with it because you enjoy it.  You will find that the job becomes easier and easier with practice and experience, and you will be better and better at it.

As you become better, you will have more and more success.  This will build your confidence and will in turn make you better, repeating the cycle.  Once you experience this, you will have no problem to find motivation to work on Monday.

This goes back to finding and doing what you’re passionate about. It can make all the difference.

As long as the drive and interest is there, the more you do something, the better you’ll become and the more confidence will ensure. That’s how it works!

It is true about finding a job you have a passion for and finding a job you are good at. For example, I am good at working with computers as well as excel in team leadership roles but I am not working my dream job. I still have a ways to go before I get there. In the meantime, I take every opportunity I can get to excel in both areas, computers and leadership to open up more financial opportunties that will allow me to create a path to my dream job.
