Usually when we complain, it is because we have too much time on our hands. When we are extremely busy, our days go by very quickly and we often don’t have time to think of whether it’s Monday or Friday. Whether it’s at work or school, workload believe it or not will increase our immunity against Monday Blues.
Take me for example. I’ve been so busy these days researching about the CFA exam, this blog, work and my life that there’s absolutely no time to rest, never mind worrying which day of the week it is. I’m happy that it’s the weekend, but the weekend and work week goes by and changes so quickly that I don’t even think or worry about it. Nowadays, all I think about is what I have to accomplish and when it needs to be done since it doesn’t matter to me whether it’s the weekend or weekday anymore.
I work days, nights, weekends, holidays. You name it, I could be working.
Some of us might think that I will be tired every single day, but I actually find myself having more energy than before. I feel alive these days, and part of it is because I don’t even have time to worry. I don’t feel upset when bad things happen, because my mind is running so fast I’m already thinking about how it can be fixed.
We all do so much to motivate ourselves, but maybe it’s time to stop doing everything that makes us less motivated.
Stay busy!

Staying busy is a great cure for a great many things. Whenever I find myself dwelling about anything particularly unpleasant (regardless of what it is) I try to keep myself as busy as possible. That way I end up not worrying about it until the need to fret is long past.
Worry leads to ulcers and other health issues. And grandma said, idle hands are the devil’s workshop. So, I completely agree. I stay busy these days finding and listing sites and authors like you, David in my Remarkable Bloggers© series. This week I happened to feature MoneyNing. I hope you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
Keep being Remarkable!

I definitely agree! I go to school full time, work 35 hours or so a week and run 3 websites… it’s definitely a full schedule and Mondays just fly by (as do all the other days) at this rate!
