Motivation Monday – Get Some Fresh Air

by MoneyNing

get some fresh air now

If you want to feel motivated, sometimes it’s as easy as getting some fresh air!  So go on now, go outside and take a walk, feel refreshed and come back.  I bet that after a breath of fresh air, you will feel much more motivated.

This works because sometimes we just flat out feel bad.  Our bodies are telling us that we want to rest, so we convince ourselves to just become lazy.  Without feeling good, things seldom seem good so we end up letting this bad cycle bring us down.

Of course, many other activities and things (like buying something) could potentially break this bad cycle too but what’s easier and cheaper than going out for some fresh air?

People who play golf (like myself) or go fishing get fresh air naturally because we are outdoors in the weekends.  However, those who don’t should either a) start doing more outdoor activities or b) just go out for a walk from time to time!

Next time you are down, just try going out for a walk.  Try to choose a place that’s wideopen because the more open the space, the more fresh air you get.  I bet that once you are done with your walk, you will feel much more refreshed and more motivated!

Great post David, and good advice. There’s no better way to clear your head or find motivation than to take a break from whatever you’re doing to take a quick walk. It gives you time to think and gets the blood circulating to make you fully alert so that when you go back to your task, you can give it 100%.

I used to force myself to work on something until it was finished. Everything always wound up taking twice as long because I was bored, mentally blocked or frustrated. Now I take breaks to work out, go for walks or spend time with the wife. When I come back to a task after a break, I usually find that I’m anxious to work on it even if I was sick of it before the break. This is good advice, I hope a lot of people read your post and take it.

Cheers,
Odd Lot
