Money Saving Tip: Use Energy Efficient Light Bulb

by MoneyNing

maxlite20wdimmable_250px.jpgI went to Ikea today and bought some energy efficient light bulb for my home use. Although some of the light bulbs in my house are the energy efficient ones, not all of them are so I bought enough to switch all of them out. The ones I bought were 20W which has a light output equivalent of a 100W of the normal kind.

I figured that I would be saving about $10 per year which more than covers for the price of the bulb.? I?? also happy about helping conserve energy since there is always a shortage in this world!

I wonder why I haven’t switched out all the light bulbs to be energy efficient yet. It almost seems weird that I would be using half the ordinary ones and half of the energy efficient ones.? I am guessing the main cause is that I was lazy and also the fact that I have not really thought about it through all this time. I wonder if there is anything else that I just haven?? thought about that could save me money.

Induction lighting is one of lifes great mysterys, why doesnt anyone know about them. When the lighting application requires the performace of HID or metal halide bulbs only induction lighting can measure up. LEDs are great in low light scenarios but in applications like street lighting they just will not do and unlike CFL bulbs the mercury in Miser induction lights is solid.
