One Frugal Girl: The 77 cent thing sounds good but I only really need the Sunday version though since they have the most coupons. So I am really buying the Sunday paper for $1.54 ($0.77 x 2).

The other thinig is that we have an apartment so having the paper lying in front of our door is not really preferred so we rarely subscribe to anything because of this.

Ann: Honestly I never get the cash rebates on groceries or supplies since they amount to something like $1. However, some of them let you put it in online so you save on postage.

Clipping coupons is an excellent idea. Also, keep an eye out for rebate forms for things you normally purchase. They are often good for cash or more free products. Just be sure the cash rebates are sufficient so that postage from mailing them in doesn't cut too far into what you'll get back.

If you are interested in clipping coupons you should check out yearly subscriptions in your area. I was able to purchase the weekend edition of the Washington Post for only 77 cents an issue. (It arrives only on Saturdays and Sundays.) I don't know how much an issue costs in stores but it's definitely more than 77 cents and this way it arrives right at my door.

I bet a yearly subscription in your area would be cheaper as well. If you are only interested in coupons the trick is to find a paper that will deliver on just the weekends.
