Remember when we were all kids?? Back in those days, not many of us worried how to spend our money (because we did not have any).? Yet, we were happier!
As our hair count continue to decrease, our hunger for money continue to grow.? This was not only because of the essentials (mom wasn?? making us food anymore so we have to pay for our own), but also because of many other materialistic items we want to purchase.?
For me, the list includes:
- One nice big house (maybe a second one for a rental properly, vacation house)
- a 42??LCD TV for the living room
- Nintendo Wii
- New car (I drive a Acura RSX-S which isn?? bad already but who doesn?? want more?)
- A new laptop for my
girlfriendfianc? (Correction.? The person I refer to as girlfriend is also my fianc?
) - A printer (I don?? have one at the house right now and it is very inconvenient at times)
- A new camera phone so I can take some pictures for my fianc? while I?? on the road
- Many more and a never ending list??/font>
Without thinking too much about it, I already came up with all these items that I want to buy.? When I was younger, I would get a toy I really wanted, and be extremely happy for days, if not weeks.? My parents would joke about my obsession for my gifts because I would want to sleep with it the first few nights I got toy!
Nowadays, things have changed.? For this example let?? use a golf club.? I will want it so badly that I end up convincing myself to buy it, and unlike before, I would lose the excitement as I am walking towards my car to throw the club into the trunk.
What has happened to me?
I am assuming that this is just because I can afford all these materialistic items now and I don?? cherish ??y purchasing power??anymore.
I remember I used to only buy one thing every couple months and be happy.? If I am able to do that now, I would have enough money to retire very soon.
Mom, I want to be a kid again.

Hi there? coming from Lorna’s Webgrrrl blog.

I read thru your list. Interesting list indeed. I especially curious about the printer for your girlfriend and camera phone for your fiance’. I probably misinterpret it
but nevermind LOL.
True story:
My fiance has always been telling me to refer to her as my “fiance” and not my “girlfriend” since I always interchange these two terms.
Yesterday, my fiance read the list and told me that people will think I have both a fiance and girlfriend!
Apparently, she was right! (my mom always told me to have the mentality of “women is always right”). My mom was a smart lady (and also right).
hahahaa… my wife told others im his BF and when asked, then where’s your husband.. she just said, husband stay at homelah… LOL.
Women is always right.. sadly. and they got power somemore
I better type this quickly since my fiance is beside me and I don’t want her to know that people noticed about the fiance/gf thing!
Anyway, your wife’s comment is really funny. She must be fun to be with.
If you don’t have kids yet I suggest getting some, they will remind you about how it is to be a kid every day. Of course they cost money to raise though but you’ll still be reminded how awesome it is to not have a care in the world and play all day.
SEO: Hehe if you dig through my posts, you will see that I’m getting married next year so no kids yet! The question of when I should have kids have been on my mind lately though!
Good for people to know.
