Because I'm so addicted to saving my money, I don't want to move out of my parents house! I'm already 23 years old (and society frowns upon that right away - a 23 yo male living with Mom & Dad - WTF?). I don't want to take a home loan out because even with a 25% downpayment, I would still pay aprox. $350,000 to pay off a $135,000 15-year loan at a 6.5% interest rate (according to research I've done). I don't want to rent an apartment because that's throwing money away without building equity. I JUST WANT TO SAVE THE MONEY! Saving money can be addictive – IN A BAD WAY.

I like setting myself 3 month goals to see how much I casn save. I must be costing my bank and mortgage lender a fortune because I am always asking for statements to be sent to me! In a good way, though. It's exciting to see your money grow and it leads to more saving. Having your nest egg is insurance against whatever may come up. It beats putting it on a credit card!
