So when I went shopping in January, I had already discovered WordPress, OpenOffice and Paint.NET so I knew there were alternatives to getting Microsoft. While I was drooling over Apple, I just didn't know enough about them so I went to my old supplier, Dell and managed to get a fast laptop using Vista with the top of the line CPU with 1.8 GB RAM (at least, it was 2 month ago) for only 1K. That's huge considering my first laptop which was the top of the line with 500 MB RAM in 2000 was worth 2.4K. Gracias, David. Glad to see someone write a better lead-in than I could come up with. ;)
