run 3 times a week and lose weight

A few weeks ago, I started exercising by running 28 minutes 3 times a week in an attempt to lose weight.  Combined with my recent balanced diet, I’m happy to report that the process’ been great so far!  When I first started, I was about 175 pounds and now I’m at 168.  As my goal is more towards 160, I am about half way there already!

Woohoo!  I actually found myself having more energy these days which means I can absorb more financial literature!  Here’s a few that I found interesting during the past week.

Thanks for the link. I’m planning on starting to run again as well. It’s a great way to lose weight!

Hey MoneyNing! Thanks so much for the gas video mention. Making the video is fun, programming the calculator is mind numbing. :)

Congrats. Do you listen to music while running or do you prefer to be left alone with your thoughts? I’ve taken to walking in the evenings (our property is too uneven for jogging) and I’ve found it’s a great time to catch up on economic podcasts.

Aaron: I don’t listen to anything in particular but the gym does have a TV. I recommend music though since it puts your mind off looking at the clock and on something else.

I read once that the inner ear gets more sensitive during strenuous exercise, so a gym environment might be better for your ears than exercising outside with headphones on.
