Sad news is that the awesome honeymoon in Japan has ended but the happy news is that I’m starting to announce the prize winners of the giveaway starting today!

I had the opportunity to go to Japan once, and I loved it! I would enjoy going back there again. I’m glad you both had a great time on your honeymoon. :)

As for the credit scores, they are pretty important. ;)

Thanks for the mention. :)

Patrick: Credit scores are definitely very, very important! I’ve just not paid much attention because I don’t expect to get denied of getting credit cards and I’ve never needed a loan before.

Just added you to my SU friends! [Same nickname]

Congrats to the first winner!
Why didn’t you put his/her link normally?

Mary: Thank you :)

The main reason was that I just didn’t think hard enough and did it since I always did it for privacy reasons for the emails :)

However, I thought about it some more and quite honestly some of the links were more like spam than actual articles talking about the giveaway so I didn’t really want to put it up as I don’t like to link to spam. However, if I draw them up, I plan to still honor the giveaway by contacting them.

But you know, it’s normal that other participants and readers want to check the winner’s link. Besides, providing the link adds more credibility to the contest! :)

Mary: You are right… As long as it’s not a spam, I will link it up for the next 9 winners (if they aren’t the email subscribers) as this one is really just a spam :) I even wonder if he/she will respond to me.

So Stumbleupon, Twitter, and links will be displayed.

yea i agreed to Mary Freebies coz this is what i usually do, check out the winner’s site and somehow see how they post up the contest (some people really can do it very creatively and interestingly). Btw, congrat to the first winner!! :p

@David: I’d suggest that you have the full right to draw another name since that blog is spam, but then, you are not sure which entry by that person made him win the contest, especially if he is a subscriber, or if he did any of the other credits.
Otherwise, if that blog entry is the only way he entered the contest with, then…obviously, I’d forfeit him!

Hs McD: Noted and will post full link if it’s not the email subscribers :)

Mary: Well, I put everyone’s entry (link, email address, stumble upon, twitter profile and comment in my spreadsheet) so I know which one is which once I draw the number that matches the row the entry is on so no worries.

bunny: No problem. Good luck!

wait a second, you write a personal finance blog but say you’ve never really paid attention to your credit score??!! um, what?!

Reply

MoneyNing June 27, 2008 at 11:45 am

teresa: if you think about it, it’s the credit report that’s important, not the score. Monitor the report and the score will take care of itself. There’s no need to be too sensitive about the credit score so don’t worry, I haven’t gone crazy (yet).
