I feel better and better about being frugal as I age. I’m no longer questioning why I don’t feel like wasting money whenever I go out. I no longer feel weird for not needing to splurge and I’m no longer wondering why I am different.
Why should I?
At a young age, I’m:
- Debt Free
- Have an Emergency Fund for the Rainy Day
- Satisfied and Happy
- Looking Forward for Everyday
Don’t let anyone tell you frugal living isn’t the way to go. I’m glad I’m different.

Hello,
It must be a wonderful feeling of lightness to be debt free at young age. I’m working in that direction too. Frugality has helped me achieve my goals and I’m happy I’ve decided to start saving for rainy days.
Being happy is another story, and very subjective…
Good week ahead, Mizé.
Thanks for the shout out! Good for you to be debt free and happy!
I am in the same boat as you except for the “young age” part.
Frugal living is the new trend – it’s cool now. How things have changed. People are talking about minimizing expenses, cutting unnecessary bills and purchases, driving more fuel efficient cars and living in more energy efficient homes. I love it! Congrats to you for being ahead of the pack.
