DIY Haircut Pictures, Book Progress and More

by MoneyNing

For those that wanted to see (many of you did), here are the before and after pictures of my first DIY haircut experience. The before picture was taken two weeks before my haircut was done and the after is right after the haircut (notice that my wife drills the “get me a house idea” into my head by bombarding me with anything housing).

Awesome Book

All I can say for now is it’s going to be awesome :) The frugal book is still in the works and I’m about 25% done with the writing. Since I’m going to self publish it, I still need to learn how to get a book cover together together and many other stuff but it’s getting there for sure. Stay tuned!

We’ve been posting a series of pointers for authors who want to self-publish at our copyeditor’s desk site: http://thecopyeditorsdesk.com. It’s still a work in progress, but maybe the couple of articles up there would be helpful.

Wow. She did do a pretty good job. My DIY haircuts only involve clippers (it’s short enough that no scissors are necessary), so the necessary skill level is far lower, heh.

Also, let me know if you have specific cover questions. My general method involves starting with a stock photo, then editing it, adding a cover background color, and text all in GIMP.

It looks pretty good. She seems use the scissor, not the trimmer or clipper. It’s much harder when you use the scissor because it requires certain level skills to cut the hair in layers and balance the look! Keep it up! Good job!!
