I cannot disclose what today’s plans are yet since part of it is a surprise, but I typically spend much more money in July because her birthday is in the same month.
We spend much of the year saving money and there are times when we should spend some of our saved money to celebrate. The spending might be counter-productive technically but you cannot put a dollar amount on happiness.
On another note, we joined the Red Robin eClub, and they sent us a coupon for a free burger that is redeemable at the restaurant. This is an $8 - $11 savings depending on the burger that you get! The best part about this is that we get a 14 day period where the coupon can be used, so we aren’t forced to go on her birthday.

Happy Birthday!! I know you can apply for a $5 off coupon from Red Lobster by signing up their club for your b-day! Also, get a free ice cream from Golden Spoon or Baskin Robbins on your birthday! (you might sign-up online to receive a coupon)
