A Whole Week of Blogging Roundup

by MoneyNing · 5 comments

The first week of full time blogging has passed and so far so good! I finally feel like I’m not rushing myself with each posts and hopefully the quality of the articles will continue to go up at the same time that the dust of working at home settles.

This week also included my boss asking me to do some minor consulting for him. As he’s given me so much, I just couldn’t say no! So far, there isn’t any actual work yet since he’s out of the country but I’m sure that I will be busier when he gets back.

Other important events included President elect Obama winning the election, as well as some very interesting personal finance articles. As he won’t be starting until January 20, let’s forget about our future president for a second and concentrate on our personal finance, shall we?

  • Clever Dude has some sensible saving tips on car maintenance over at his blog!  Time for me to write them down and start implementing them into my schedule!
  • Canadian Capitalist observes that everyone is running away from stocks.  In a bear market, the number one way to ensure low returns is run when the market has already lost a significant percentage!  Luckily, we know better!
  • Investing School has a fun piece telling us to try buying stocks when we want to sell and vice versa.  There is a disclaimer that it isn’t serious advice so don’t take it too seriously!
  • ABC again spells the basics.  This time, it’s on investing diversification!
  • Blunt Money tells us that the only way to repair our credit is to change our behavior and give it time.  There’s just no quick way about it!
  • Still thinking about the election?  Check out Squawkfox’s 3 surprising things about it.  Remember to read the comment section for reader reaction as well.
  • The Digerati Life knows all!  Check out her 10 signs of a stock market bottom!  Do you believe the bottom is here?  Let us know!
  • My Two Dollars lays out 3 easy steps to start investing!  If you haven’t started yet, now is the best time to do so!
