The winners of the gas gift card giveaway are being announced today! Even though the Motivation Monday series ended, I’m sure the 3 winners will feel pretty motivated today knowing that they just got a free $50 gas gift card!
I want to thank everyone for joining because without your support, MoneyNing is nothing!
Winners of the Gas Card Giveaway
- Frugal Dad – follows me on twitter
- Smarty Pig – follows me on twitter
- j _ _ d _ 9943@g_ _ _ l.com – email subscriber
Congratulations! The twitter account of Smarty Pig actually belongs to a company instead of one person so I will see if they even respond to my direct message on twitter! If not, I will be giving it out to another person and updating this post to reflect that!
Another 2 $50 gift cards are being given out for free
You read it right – I’m giving away another 2 gift cards. When I first came up with the idea, I didn’t know that the contest will be this popular! After seeing the huge response, I realize that we are all in a pinch these days with high gas prices so I want to give out another 2!
This time, I’d like to know why you feel you best deserve $50 of free gas. One of the gift card will be given to the person who writes the best story! (The winner will be picked by me)
What about the other gift card? That will be randomly picked based on the entries (shown below)
In order to tell us your story, you can either:
- Write a comment below of your story – 2 entry
- Write a blog post about it and link to this post – 4 entries
As promised, email subscribers will always be eligible for every giveaway so they get 1 free entry.
The winners will be announced on Monday, September 15 so think about your story and start writing!

I’ll try to be laconic and stick to the point: I’m a stereotypical starving college student who does his best to save money, curb unnecessary spending (which isn’t easy when you’re in college!) and create passive income sources. I don’t think I necessarily deserve a gift card because of my situation, but I would certainly appreciate it. :^D
I could really use that giftcard because I’m a college student that commutes 25 miles to school. My car loan is about $300 and I pay for me and my parents insurance . Not to mention other bills. Anyway it would be a big help to have the extra 50 so I wouldn’t have to worry about gas for a couple weeks. Thanks for the contest!
my husband drives 30 miles to work one way and we need every bit of gas money to get to work
he doesn’t make a whole lot on his check he makes $300 a week and we are 5 in our family ofcourse my oldest daughter is staying here and works so she pays for her own gas but we have to take my other daughter to work and plus pick her up
it’s just draining us dry!
Thanks
Thanks for having such a great resource for free stuff. I\’ve been searching all over for this.
I’m already a subscriber and wrote about your contest here: http://www.dailydollarreport.com/moneyning-gas-card-giveaway/
I’m also a struggling college student with a decent drive to school daily. ANY sort of help is needed seeing that financial aid can never cover all the expenses college puts upon me.
We are trying to get out of debt – and are actually making progress! I have discovered even little changes can help a great deal. Even a $5 saving, can inspire me to not spend $50 somewhere else – that translates into a $55 dollar savings!
