Last year marked the first one that I started working at home. It was actually a very enlightening experience, as I realized just how much time I freed up by not commuting and working around everyone else’s schedule.
This year will be very important in my life too, as our family size is increasing by 50% and the fact that we are mostly likely purchasing our first home. It will be fun, it will be exciting and it will be scary at the same time. I will keep you updated, but I urge you contact me whenever you feel I can help.
How will your year be like? Let us know as you read through some of these posts that you might have missed!

Great list! (By the way, link #5 doesn’t seem to be working…) I liked the first one, about the library. One thing that is great about library books is that if you don’t like the book, you can return it without finishing it, and if you really love it you can buy the book. Also, my library (Los Angeles) has many books available for viewing online, so you don’t even need to go there.
Fixed and glad you like the posts.
Having them online is awesome. I wonder when libraries will start being able to tap into those ebook readers or something so we can just download them into our kindle or something like that.
I think it won’t be long. Soon books of paper will be gone. People will just go to the library for Wi-Fi and to read and download eBooks. Anyone with a Kindle or computer will be able to download and read them for a certain time (like checking them out).
You know, I guess I’m just a dinosaur. But I love to hold a real book. I like the smell, the feel and the look of a real book. I like to turn the pages. And it gives me a chance to get away from from a computer screen, rather than having another one in my face.
I still prefer to listen to CDs (classic rock from the 60s – 80s) too, so I guess I’m just a walking anachronism. I know I’m out of the loop, but I can’t help it!
Always optimistic here, looking for means to save and to earn more.
This year I intend on using my time more wisely. Sometimes I don’t like to start a task because I may feel lazy or unmotivated so I would waste time thinking about not wanting to do something and end up stalling. Instead, if I just tackle the task and do it then I will have more time later to enjoy and I wouldn’t have wasted time. Seems like you’ve been able to do the same thing now that you realized you don’t have to commute or work around others’ schedules anymore.
