For some reason before then, I never though much to enter into the store. My friend is really frugal and was the one who brought me there. I like TJ Maxx compared to other similar discount clothing retailers because the store is set up more organized, or at least the ones I have visited applies. I like how everything is at least 50% below the retailer's markup. It may take a little longer to sift through all the clothing but the savings are well worth the time! It has often been my experience that the "compare to" price is actually higher than listed...confirmed by the original higher price tag! My favorite recent deal: a Vera Wang china platter for $20 that's listed on Amazon for $200. I love going and just wandering around for things I have my eye out on and it often pays off. I'm always amazed at the perfumes for sale there. They have good clothes, too, if you learn to sort through the racks like a pro.
